Smoke Water Fire is a silent, digital animation influenced by new media artist Mark Stock's research in fluid dynamics. The animation breaks down the behaviors of complex physical forces and natural occurrences into coherent yet unfamiliar geometric forms. Smoke Water Fire begins with a single fluid form forming and pulsating in space. The form is organic, and is teeming with multiple monochromatic stick-like layers. It starts as a pulsating ball and, as the animation progresses, torus-shaped objects crash into it, mix with it, and reveal the layers underneath, violently merging with the form, pulling it apart, and distorting it until it fills the entire screen.
